Adventure Coach Nikki Blog #1 | HERstory, part 1


A new adventure begins (again) in my life, it's just a budding idea but indulge me and allow me to share. It's important to know because it will lay the foundation for all the professional and/or ridiculous posts that shall come from this Facebook page for the next several months (plus!)

It's the 50th anniversary of the day of my birth and while 2024 started out with much angst and worry, I've recovered enough to make some life-altering decisions and seemingly crazy vacation plans. We shall see how much angst and worry it begets, but I don't want to digress so fast.

I'M GOING TO SPAIN - FOR A MONTH

In my almost constant quest to drink the most delicious wines and have the most amazing days (no matter where I am) I have stumbled and then obsessed upon a grape variety called Monastrell. Specifically the Egos Bodegas brand... seriously, try the Fuerza wine, you'll become obsessed too!

And, now I'm taking it to the next level. As part of a branch of my businesses, I plan to bring wine country adventures to as many clients as want them, and smartly. And I mean through coaching.

Hence, Adventure Coach


Since 2001 I have visited many different wine areas such as Napa, Temecula, Sonoma, San Luis Obispo, Ohio (Northeast) and really anyplace that has a winery I'm near, I visit - except Willamette Valley and dammit I wanted to, but my teenager wouldn't allow the detour on our vacation together - that's another blog post altogether and I digress.


I've decided to visit the homeland of Monastrell, which also gets me to the homeland of Syrah, Cava, Tempranillo and many other delectable wine varieties. Check out this map image! It's research. And, it will lead to development - so welcome the beginning of the research and development team to Adventure Coach!


I will use this page to post blog entries and pictures with my followers and friends, and friends that are followers. Stay tuned my peeps, this could get interesting...

International Driver's Permit, Adventure Coach

 As I prepare to prepare (yes, I'm only preparing to prepare) to embark on my trip to Espana (that's Spain in Spanish,) (yes, I know I'm cheeky) I did a quick search on driving to find that there is a requirement to have an International Driver's Permit to rent a car. Part of the actual preparation of this trip is to decide if I'm renting a car. Preparation of that prep is to get myself in good order with this permit. AAA is the only private organization in the USA that can provide this permit. And it's only $20 plus the cost of two passport photos (which I liken to a mug shot.) No appointment is needed. So off I went! Maybe it's me but everything seems like an adventure to an Adventure Coach. I called AAA to make sure the location I was about to drive to did indeed offer the service.
